Since Friday, April 20, 8 AM, till Monday, April 23, 8 AM, the Terrace RCMP have attended to approximately 98 calls for service. During the same time period, there were 26 people lodged in Terrace Detachment cells. Of these 26 people, 16 were lodged for public intoxication.
These are some of the calls Terrace RCMP responded to:
A grey 1994 Toyota Paseo was checked near All West Glass on Tetrault St. The driver was arrested for impaired driving. She provided breath samples in excess of the legal limit. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.
Break and enter to a residence on River Dr. Entry was gained to the porch area but not to the main residence.
A woman was intoxicated and assaultive at the Spirit Night Club. Police arrested a 28 yr old woman for breaching a Recognizance of not to be in any liquor store or licenced premises. Falon Azak has been charged with Breach of Recognizance and is remanded to attend court on April 23.
Domestic dispute. A 47 yr old woman shot her boyfriend in the face with a pellet pistol twice. He suffered minor injuries. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.
A baby bear was struck by a vehicle on Hwy 37 near the Hot Springs. Police attended and shot the injured bear.
Police assisted BC Ambulance with a 12 yr old girl who had drank too much alcohol. Under investigation.
Abandoned 911 call. Domestic dispute. Both people were intoxicated. Police arrested a 31 yr old woman for assault. A man suffered minor injuries. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.
Four children were left in the care of a sober adult. Police attended later on in the day with Ministry of Children and Families and assisted with removal of the children because the adult was no longer sober.
Police officer on patrol on Park Ave heard glass breaking. He located a man who had broken out of a residence by breaking the living room window. The man stated he was mad at the house and was going to wreck it. Police arrested the 20 yr old man for mischief.
Police are investigating the assault of 5 yr old girl.
