We may see a bit of sun mixed in with the clouds today, but then back to the rain. Congestion past the Port Mann

Good morning! It was a wet start to the day at 7 C as of 7 a.m., and the Environment Canada weather service tells us we’ve got 93 per cent humidity and 27 km/h winds from the south-southeast, gusting to 37.

Though periods of rain should continue through the morning, in the afternoon we’ll see a bit of sun poking through, with a chance of showers through the day and a high of 10 C. But overnight, we’ll be back to the rain, with a low of 6 C, moving into a rainy Saturday with a high of 10 and a low of 4 C.

After that, we should see some sun mixed in with the clouds Sunday and Monday, with highs of 7 C and lows of 3 and 1 C, before getting back into a cloudy stretch.

Tuesday to Thursday next week, we’re looking at clouds, with everything from a chance of showers to rain, with highs of 5-8 C and lows of 1-3 C.

Currently, visibility is 8 kilometres.

On clear roads and driving at the speed limit, a drive from the Abbotsford News building to Downtown Vancouver would take 50 minutes.

Today, your daily commute time as of 7:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 18, 2018 is one hour 17 minutes, with pretty breezy commute along Highway 1 until you hit the Port Mann Bridge. After that, you can expect to see some heavy congestion through Coquitlam and more minor congestion after that.
