Blue skies won't stick around today, but we can expect to see more sun over the weekend

Good morning! It was a mostly cloudy start to the day at 3 C as of 7 a.m., and the Environment Canada weather service tells us we’ve got 97 per cent humidity and 6 km/h winds from the north-northwest.

Some blue skies are peaking through the clouds right now, but we can expect to see the clouds to roll back in to bring rain or drizzle this morning, before returning to a mix of sun and cloud in the afternoon with a high of 8 C. Tonight, Environment Canada forecasts a low of 4 C with a 30 per cent chance of drizzle.

After that, we’re looking at a high of 7 C tomorrow, with a chance of drizzle, before dropping to 4 C overnight with cloudy skies. Friday, it’s looking like another cloudy day, but no rain in the forecast, with a high of 8 C and a low of 3 C overnight with fog.

Saturday, we’re looking at fog and a high of 8 C before dropping to 1 C overnight with cloudy periods, before breaking into a short sunny stretch. Sunday and Monday, we’re looking at highs of 10 and 11 C, with lows of 1 C. Clear skies on Sunday and a mix of sun and cloud on Monday, before getting back to clouds and a chance of showers on Tuesday, with a high of 7 C.

Currently, visibility is 16 kilometres.

On clear roads and driving at the speed limit, a drive from the Abbotsford News building to Downtown Vancouver would take 50 minutes.
