Good morning! It was a mostly cloudy start to the day at 9 C as of 7:16 a.m., and the Environment Canada weather service tells us we’ve got 82 per cent humidity and 24 km/h winds from the south, gusting to 34.
After yesterday’s heavy rainfall, we’ve got a little reprieve from the heavy precipitation, with just a few showers today during the day with a high of 9 C, and a 60 per cent chance of showers and partly cloudy with a low of 3 C overnight.
And for the next week, we’ve got much of the same intermittent precipitation. Over the weekend, it’s a 30 per cent chance of rain on Saturday and rain on Sunday, with highs of 8 C and 5 C.
Moving into next week, we’re looking at a peek of sunshine on Monday, with a chance of showers, before getting rain on Tuesday, periods of rain Wednesday and a chance of showers Thursday.
Highs over the next week are expected to range from 5 C to 8 C, with lows of 2 to 5 C.
Currently, visibility is 24 kilometres.
On clear roads and driving at the speed limit, a drive from the Abbotsford News building to Downtown Vancouver would take 50 minutes.
Today, your daily commute time as of 7:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 4, 2018 is one hour nine minutes, with pretty breezy commute along Highway 1. Only minor congestion past the Port Mann Bridge and a couple of brief slow spots through Langley at this time.
