Good morning! It was a mostly cloudy start to the day at 3 C as of 7 a.m., and the Environment Canada weather service tells us we’ve got 49 per cent humidity and 22 km/h winds from the east-northeast, gusting to 39.
After a couple of days with a bit of sunshine, we’re back into the dreary weather, with a 40 per cent chance of rain showers or flurries today, and the temperature is actually expected to drop – to 2 C this afternoon. And it’s expected to hover at around 2 C through the night, with 5-10 mm of rain.
After that, we’ve got another wet week – rain Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday and a chance of showers Friday, Sunday and Monday. Highs range from 4 C tomorrow to 10 C on Thursday and Sunday, with lows of 4-6 C.
Currently, visibility is 24 kilometres.
On clear roads and driving at the speed limit, a drive from the Abbotsford News building to Downtown Vancouver would take 50 minutes.
Today, your daily commute time as of 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2018 is one hour 19 minutes, with pretty breezy commute along Highway 1 before the Port Mann Bridge. Once you cross the Fraser River, though, you’re looking at some level of congestion, at times heavy, on the highway.
