Good morning! It was a rainy start to the day at 7 C as of 7:20 a.m., and the Environment Canada weather service tells us we’ve got 99 per cent humidity and 7 km/h winds from the northwest.
The rain is expected to get a little lighter today, with a total of 10 to 20 millimetres and a high of 12 C. But the wind is expected to pick up this morning, and tonight is expected to see a 40 per cent chance of showers and a low of 7 C.
Tomorrow looks like much the same – rain during the day and overnight, with a high of 10 C and a low of 8 C, with Friday seeing periods of rain and a high of 11 C.
But we’re looking at a little break from the dreary weather this weekend, clearing up overnight Friday with a low of 2 C, opening up for a sunny Saturday and Sunday, with highs of 8 and 7 C and lows of 0 and 3 C. Monday is expected to be cloudy with a high of 11 C and a low of 3 C overnight with a 60 per cent chance of showers and Tuesday looks like a high of 11 C with a 60 per cent chance of showers.
Currently, visibility is three kilometres.
On clear roads and driving at the speed limit, a drive from the Abbotsford News building to Downtown Vancouver would take 50 minutes.
