In Loving Memory ~
It is with deep sadness that the Murley family announce the passing of Jean on December 1st. Jean was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was born in Twillingate NL, on 25 August 1937, to parents Mark and Dora Elliot.
In her early years she was a school teacher, and taught in many towns all over the island. Jean and George were married in Kingston, ON, 25 November 1961 where she took on the life of a military wife. Over a career of 37 years she travelled to many destinations, including Europe.
She is survived by her loving husband George of 62 years; sons Craig (Shelley), David (Cheryl); daughter Susan (Gord); brother Harold; sisters-in-law Margaret, Ricki and Liz; brothers-in-law Frank and Eric; many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Mark and Dora, brother Donald and sister-in-law Joan.
Jean was an active member of the Ocean Waves Square Dance group. She also enjoyed camping and travelling in the motor home. She was also an avid knitter.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Coetzee, all the staff at the Golden Eye wing of Ocean Front Village, where she resided for the last year. Special thanks to Lisa Saunders her supporter.
