A Poem: Canada, we stand on guard for thee

Kelowna - Dedicated to all the hard-working Canadians who make this country great

Oh, Canada, Home of the true north, strong and free

Oh, Canada, I think you are, by far, the greatest country to me,

Because you are the beloved home of the true north, strong and free,

With majestic mountains and waterfalls that extend from sea to shining sea,

This is where the snow-birds fly, and people try, to be all they can be,

Oh, what a country! Rich in history, beauty, and natural wonder,

What other nation has been so blessed with wealth and untold splendour,

From the rocky western peeks, to the rugged eastern shores,

What other land could transcend, or ever offer more?

Whether fisherman, farmer, or logger, the peoples’ stories are being told,

Their courageous pioneer spirit, continues to unfold,

With dedication and glowing hearts, we stand strong, proud and free,

Yes, Oh, Canada, we do pledge, to be on guard for thee,

Steadfast and independent, we give our best for our land,

Though diverse as a people, strong and united we will stand,

Through the youth, and the promise of tomorrow, we make ourselves a-new,

That’s why Canada is the country, where dreams really do come true.

Happy 150th Birthday Canada!

Dedicated to all the hard-working Canadians who make this country great.
