I
moved from Vancouver to Campbell River in 2010. I went from a city of three million to a city of 30,000. I just imagined everything being smaller and in most cases this is true.
Smaller malls, less traffic, smaller schools. All good things in my opinion. But one thing that is way larger here in Campbell River is the heart of the community.
This was our 6th Annual “Bikes for Kids” program and once again you as the community came through in a big way.
We received over 70 bikes of all varieties, sizes and conditions, plus this year we received cash donations to put toward new bikes as well.
In the end we donated just under 40 bikes that were in fantastic condition and four brand new bikes for kids that would not have received a bike without your help.
Kids as young as one year old and up into their teens will be finding bikes under their tree this year.
Tricycles, run bikes, mountain bikes and cruiser bikes all because of a community with a huge heart.
So from me, Chenoa and the Swicked family, Merry Christmas and thank you so much for all your generosity. We couldn’t do it without you!!!
Merry Christmas!
