As a participant, not an organizer, I am writing to point out and protest an absurd act of commodification of religion.
At the recent Green New Deal town hall event in Sooke, money was shelled out for a blessing. What a travesty, and how against the spirit of the proceedings!
Despite this foolishness, things are getting done to better the community and world by the many thoughtful and serious-minded people supporting and structuring the event.
