Attorney General should be independent of sitting house

I have spent most of several days watching the Jody Wilson-Raybould and related programs on TV and then researching the history of Ministers of Justice and Attorneys General situations. The two should be separated — the Minister of Justice should remain an elected person appointed by the PM but not be the Attorney General. The AG should be appointed similar to the appointment of the Governor General and serve beyond the span of any elected parliament.

Until they are separated there will be conflicts in our justice system. The Attorney General should be independent of the sitting house.
