Blind to needs

What Ms. Phillips fails to appreciate in her recent learned deposition to the Sooke News Mirror, is that we – the silent majority – having seen the ‘shenanigans’ the Capital Regional District (CRD)is capable of; we, that same silent majority, no longer have any trust in the ability of the CRD to either make a reasonable decision or to act in a reasonable manner after having come to any sort of decision they do make.

You – Ms. Phillips – by aligning yourself with the CRD and its dubious causes, whatever their reasonings, you too, thus become outside the realm of our trust. And since you seem so extremely in step with the views of Saanich and Victoria, perhaps you would feel more at home there. Because it’s obvious you have no concept of how communities survive, say, for example, the Circle Route communities.

And I would point out to you that even Saanich itself, does not survive on wishful thinking on its own turf, but on hard economic realities.

What happens out here, either way, will have no repercussions in Saanich. And with that in mind, again, I’m sure you would feel much more comfortable there. Because I get the feeling that you, Ms. Phillips feel no economic hardships whatsoever, and are, like Saanich, blind to the needs of others who are less economically endowed, so to speak.
