Bylaw needed on dreadful sign mess

To the Editor,

Re: Campaign signs pollute view of city, Letters, April 23.

I totally agree that it looks dreadful.

Maple Ridge passed a law a few years back making it illegal to put signs on public property – what a terrific difference it made.

Each party was responsible to go around each day and remove their signs or be charged by the municipality if it they were removed by city workers.

If it came down to public mischief then it was dealt with accordingly.
