To the editor:
In this time of unrest and hostility to foreign governments around the world, there is a group of people who are often overlooked.
These people put themselves and their families in precarious positions to act as the eyes and ears for their government in foreign countries.
In an ever more complicated world, the significance of a well trained and effective diplomatic core has never been more important.
Why do these diplomats do what they do? Call them naive or dreamers, but they believe they can make a difference.
So, when you think about sacrifice and bravery, please remember and support the Canadian diplomats that serve our interests around the world in their belief that they can make it a better place.
