Editor,
After 23 years serving as the minister of Castlegar United Church, I celebrated my retirement this past weekend.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the members of the community, and in particular of the church, who have made my time here such a good and fulfilling one for me. I am grateful for the people I have met, the friendships I have formed, the chances I have had in some small way to contribute to the life of the community and for all that support and care that has been offered to me.
I am thankful, too, for all the best wishes and gifts on the occasion of my retirement. I am not sure yet what that is going to look like, or where I will end up, but no matter what happens, Castlegar will always have a special place in my heart.
Thank you for everything, and may God continue to bless you as you go on working to make this community a good place to live and grow.
Ann E. Pollock,
Castlegar
