During this festive season, I would like to remind all your readers to spare a thought for those workers who are either working full time or are on call.
Let me zero in on two branches of local public safety providers, the firefighters and paramedics.
I cannot say enough about the dedication of these men and women.
In September, we had a fire in our house while my wife was at home. She alerted the fire department immediately.
The fire chief was on site extremely quickly and his crew a few minutes later followed closely by paramedics.
We would like to thank them for their quick response, professionalism and compassion.
Chief Banks was careful to be reassuring to us both as he directed his men and women.
They saved our home.
Now, back in our completely restored house, our own special Christmas wishes go out to them all (firefighters, paramedics).
May their Christmas be incident free.
