I have read with amazement the article in The Morning Star (Feb. 27) about the proposal for a roundabout at Kalamalka and Kidston Roads.
1. There is not enough room for a decent roundabout. Trucks will have to be able to drive through it as well.
2. This is a three-way intersection and the way drivers in Vernon and Coldstream negotiate roundabouts, there will be more chaos than there is now.
3. A traffic light is the best solution as this will give the cars coming from Kidston a chance to turn left on to Kalamalka Road and hopefully encourage drivers to use this intersection versus the Postill Drive stop.
I drive through this intersection almost daily at various times and feel a traffic light is best in order to keep the impatient parents in check and traffic flowing in all directions.
