Dear Todd Stone Minster of Transportation,
Well, it appears that the “meetings” with the public were just for public relations, as obviously you had no intention of changing your mind on this issue.
Fourteen ferries on the mainland are free, yet we are “hosed” for taking the monopoly ferry. You say that these 14 ferries are a part of the transportation system. Aren’t ALL ferries part of the transportation system?
It seems that looking at reducing the onerous amount of managers is not going to change. The number of managers that the BC Ferry system has is over 650, which works out to 10 managers per route. How can you justify this? Is the “bonus” system going to change or are we as taxpayers paying for that as well?
Disappointed isn’t the word I’d use on this issue, disgusted is more like it.
I’d like a response from you Mr. Minister as to how you came to the decision you did.
