I would personally like to thank all of those people and businesses who supported my fundraising efforts with a donation; your support is greatly appreciated! I would also like to thank my fellow team members for their dedication, enthusiasm and hard work; I am so proud of Murray’s Marvelous Marchers.

A special mention goes to the patrons of the Qualicum Beach Farmers’ Market, the Errington Farmer’s Market, and the Qualicum Beach Liquor Store, for their generosity, empathy and compassion; a truly heartwarming display of community caring! Thank you also to the management of these venues for providing the opportunity to fundraise on a number of occasions. Your support is much appreciated.

The funds raised in support of the Walk for ALS go to fund patient services (60 per cent – the most prominent one being the equipment loan program), and to fund Canadian research (40 per cent) to find treatments and ultimately a cure for this devastating disease. Fundraising for the Walk for ALS carries on to the end of the year. If you would like to make a donation, go to; walkforals.ca, click on BC/Yukon, then click on Mid-Island-Parksville, and you can then search for individual and/or team fundraising participants to support with your donation.
