Council concerns

I have felt for sometime now that too many of our councillors have been in office for far too long

I most heartily agree with Paul Elmont’s letter regarding the city council.

I have felt for sometime now that too many of our councillors have been in office for far too long and have reached the stage of believing they are always right, regardless of public opinion.

The best thing we need is to throw the lot of them out at the next election and don’t re-elect any of them. We need new blood representing us and who will listen to the electors and act accordingly.

Regarding the “new” tourist office: leaving my dentist the other day, I was confronted by a huge 5th wheel and three large house trailers in this very narrow street.

There was so little room for any normal vehicles to pass that I almost had to climb on the sidewalk to allow them room. They were either looking for the tourist office or leaving it, if they had found it, that is.

A letter in The Morning Star a few days earlier was from a visitor complaining bitterly that he couldn’t find it anywhere and stating he wouldn’t come back again.

So much for council “planning.”
