Editor, The Times:
In response to “Daily Routine Disrupted by Sales Rep.” (Feb.6/12).
Door-to-door sales (without an appointment) are not a new phenomenon. It started in the days of the Wild West with the selling of pots and pans and healing elixirs. Then came Amway products, the Watkins man, vacuum cleaners, life insurance, and Bibles. Don’t knock a person for trying to make an honest living.
I have three suggestions for Mr. Mueller:
1. Prepare a lunch that doesn’t smell so good.
2. Get a pair of boots that fit!
3. Take a deep breath and get on with your life.
