Editor: As a grandmother, I am concerned about all these young lives lost due to drowning. It makes me very sad, and mad too.
It is preventable. People have to use their brains. No matter how high fences are, when you are around water, make sure kids and toddlers are wearing a life jacket. If they fall in, they will be floating, and safe and alive.
That’s what we did with our children and grandchildren. Tragedies can happen too fast.
When buying a pool, make sure you buy some life jackets for your children as well. It is too late after a tragedy happens.
