Here’s a bit of a solution to the public transit crisis in Delta and Surrey. Do you know TransLink runs close to 100 empty buses through the Crescent Beach neighbourhood each day?
The 351 uses the narrow roadways of the beach area as a turnaround route for highway buses on their way to the Bridgeport train station.Ninety-nine per cent of these buses are empty. In fact, a trip to the train station revealed an almost empty bus until the centre of White Rock.
So… perhaps TransLink might consider a community bus to service this end of town and reroute these highway buses to areas that would appreciate the service.
Sounds like a no-brainer!
