Re: “The Trouble with Alberta Blondes” by Dennis Peacock
“The Socialist Tips His Hat” by Wes Morden
I think that Dennis Peacock owes an apology to Rachel Notley and women in general. There is no humor in woman-bashing. I believe the waggish friend he keeps referring to isn’t a friend at all; it probably is a noise in his head.
I will no longer respond to any of his letters. I refuse to wage a war of wit with someone who is totally unarmed!
And Wes! My, my! Not a bad shot you gave me! You still have quite a lot of spunk for a broken-down history teacher. You mentioned the “good (round) shape” I’m in. You know, I think you have finally found something that we have in common.
As for paving the shores of Dutch Lake, the 53-lot subdivision that’s approved for that property would only have the roads in the subdivision paved.
Unless the title has been amended since I was in real estate, it’s a strata title and the lake front is a common area for the benefit of all registered owners; however, if this property were made into a park, there would have to be a huge paved parking lot, with toilets and showers.
Sand would have to be hauled in and dumped into the lake to make a swimming area. Doing so would destroy acres of nesting area for the painted turtle which is already endangered. Oh, wait a minute; this would be an NDP Provincial Park. That’s right! A dirt road to nowhere!
In closing, Wes, I have to say that I always attributed the bright orange aura around you to your affiliation with the NDP. However, now that you say you only change your depends bi-weekly, I think it’s just showing that you are ripe!
