Editor, The Times:
I have to announce some bad news and some really awesome news.
As most of you know Aboriginal Engagement Success By 6 (AESB6) has been hosting a free family community event for the past 10 years. Breakfast with Santa has been amazing and supported by so many. With the help of so many organizations and community volunteers, it has been an annual event that many families look forward to.
The sad news is AESB6 will no longer be hosting this event.
The really awesome news is that after talking with Mike Savage from the Blackpool Fire Department, they along with Clearwater and Vavenby fire departments are excited to continue this amazing community event. This is such great news as over the years it has grown to be a much looked forward to family event.

I’m looking forward to helping, for a final time, and really would like to thank everyone who has supported this over the past 10 years.
A special thanks to Thompson-Nicola Regional District, Yellowhead Community Services, Aboriginal Cultural Centre, and Blackpool Hall committee, and all the amazing volunteers, who worked so hard to make this happen; thank you all for everything over the years.
I’m also so excited to see what new changes the Blackpool, Clearwater and Vavenby Fire Departments are going to bring to make for an exciting family event for the North Thompson Valley.
Watch for posters coming soon.
Please contact Mike Savage for any inquires/information. I am not the contact person for this year’s event.
Thank you to all; it was truly an awesome decade of fun!
Yours in Community Spirit,
Cindy Wilgosh,
