The Avola Community Hall and Recreational Cooperative Assn. (ACHARCA) had its annual Cookie Exchange and Community Christmas Dinner recently.
The Community of Avola was brimming with festive Holiday Spirits when the residents gathered together to create Christmas Cookie Platters. The platters were filled with a variety of homemade Christmas sweets and treats and topped off with a mandarin orange to fill the hearts of every resident in Avola.
The Community Spirit continued to shine brightly for the Avola Christmas Dinner on the evening of Dec. 14.
Thanks to teamwork and many hands the annual Christmas Dinner was decked with turkey, ham and all the traditional fixings, along with some signature prize dishes that contributed to the community event.
At the end of the night, some donated handmade Christmas centerpieces were given out to six lucky winners.
ACHARCA would like to thank TNRD director, Steve Quinn, Larry Meidinger from the Log Inn Pub, and all the supporters and contributors that made this a joyous and successful Community Season.
