Re: Clearwater Elks #499

We the undersigned are concerned with the continuing downplay of the good that the Elks are doing in this community. To you they appear to be unimportant, but to the Elks, they feel that what they do is important enough to keep the community informed, as they helped them raise the monies. Without them they would not exist. Here are some of the concerns:

a. You fail to print our articles.

b. When you do print our articles they are on the second to last page along with the obituaries.

c. When you do print our article a large portion of what was submitted is omitted.

d. While shutting out the Elks you find room to print the events others groups are having or have had. Equal opportunity should be granted.

We feel this behavior in poor taste for our community as they should be kept informed of ALL activities not just a select few. As of this date the December report, complete with photos, has not found its way into your paper.

We feel that your treatment of the Elks is unacceptable.
