Enrolment changes apply to out-of-catchment students

In response to the article "Parents concerned enrolment changes will split up siblings" in the May 19 Saanich News. Ms. Prizeman is worried that her younger in-catchment children may not be admitted to Campus View. By my interpretation the recommendation is that in-catchment applicants have priority in any case. The non-prioritizing of younger siblings applies to out-of-catchment applicants whose older siblings already attend a school other than their catchment school. I think she has misinterpreted the recommendations and is anxious for no reason. Perhaps your paper could clarify the situation.
