On Dec. 22, the Ladysmith Fire Department went above and beyond for my daughter, who has medical issues that limit the amount of time we can take her out in public, especially during cold and flu season, which can make my daughter very sick.
This year is the first year since she was born that we have not been admitted to hospital for Christmas with her.
The Ladysmith Fire Department was going out to do its yearly Santa Claus Parade, but so that my daughter to see Santa, they arranged for my daughter to have a private Santa meeting at their fire hall.
They made our holiday season all that much better, and I cannot thank them enough for taking the extra time to make my daughter’s Santa experience amazing.
