To the Editor,
School started on Sept. 6, when the students attended school for one hour. The following three full school days in some schools in Nanaimo the students still did not have their teachers or classrooms. They spent these three days in a classroom with several different grades of students. Are these three days meant to be considered education days for our children or grandchildren?
It seems to me this is hugely inefficient and padding education hours that just are not happening. There also seems to be an acceptance by parents that this is acceptable. Is it not time that people spoke out and demanded more from the system that is educating their children?
