Fool me twice and shame on me

Vote yes to extinguish the tax

Your front-page headline stating “HST not so bad, survey finds” (The News, June 10) was, at best, misleading!

Can a survey of 805 people be deemed definitive?

If you missed the debate at VIU in Nanaimo last Thursday I suggest you go to the FightHSTbc website and get some accurate facts about how this hated sales tax actually impacts your purchases, adding seven per cent to hundreds of goods and services not previously taxed — and why the B.C. government and big business are spending big bucks to persuade you otherwise.

To quote Tommy Douglas: “Fool me once, shame on you; Fool me twice, shame on me!”

Remember, you vote “Yes” to extinguish the tax — and send a message that will change the way governments operate in B.C. forever.
