Force the answer when sense fails

Re: Rebuild trust, then deal with dams, Opinion, June 18.

It is amazing how Toby Gorman can see the true story of the Colliery Dam Park issue, yet, the mayor and four councillors cannot.

I guess they just don’t have ears to hear with, eyes to see with or a heart to care with.

When good sense fails, all that is left for the public to do is resort to force. For the 40 or so who still have the need to talk this out, there are five to 10 of us who have quit talking and are thinking of what action we will be taking.

I wonder if council is really going to use an already busy police force to take old ladies, babies and children to jail, or just waste their time giving us fines we will not pay.

The public has decided what it wants. Leave the dams alone. The public has decided what they are going to do about it, but I wonder if council has a clear picture of what it is going to do?

The politics of this country must change before we no longer have a piece of dirt to stand on.
