People of B.C. think long and hard on the upcoming HST referendum.
If we vote to keep it we will be getting a small savings and we are used to it now.
I am partially in favour of this tax as it combines all of them for ease of checking and I do think that it is helping out small business but if it helps the small businessmen what are the big corporations saving?
But please do not be put off by all the ads as if we vote this out think of all the monies we will have to pay back to the federal government that was given to us.
They will want their money back and I do not think we will get a long repayment time. Think of starting another system back up after we have shut it down and most likely dismantled the organization.
Then there are all the new plans that the government has just rolled out to benefit us. These will have to be cut to pay back the monies that we will now owe.
It the HST is accepted then the government should also make plans in the future to reduce the rate even further to help take the burden off the majority of the public.
So please when you make your decision take the time to get all the information before you vote. But vote for what you think is best for you and your family
