Yes I am going to vote yes to getting rid of the HST.
The HST represents a fundamental shift in taxation policy moving the burden from business to the individual. This shift was not properly debated in the legislature and if we have a democracy it must be debated there.
Christy Clark can manipulate the numbers all she wants, she could reduce the amount to 0.5 per cent, it won’t change my vote. I know that no matter what, she will find a way to extract money from me whether it is in the form of taxes or an increase in fee for services.
I just wish I was equally sure she would use the money wisely and efficiently for the benefit of the people in BC.
