Get to work on a transportation solution
Cowichan Valley is in major need of a transportation overhaul. With the majority of Cowichan’s emissions coming from transportation, it is imperative that we tackle this. Walkable communities are central to this.
I believe in lowering our urban sprawl, building our community nodes, supporting local businesses and subsidizing efficient and reliant transit/bike routes is VITAL!
After moving from Victoria, I deeply miss my ability to walk/bike/bus and the connection to the community that I had because of it.
One step could be building a bike corridor from Duncan to Mill Bay. Another is working with the CRD to promote rail or a better commuter bus.
There are so many actions to take, it is long past the point to pick one!
