I live above Old Kamloops Road overlooking Swan Lake. What a wonderful gift it is to be able to take in all that happens on the lake year round.
Everything from the hot air balloons during Vernon Winter Carnival to ice fishermen, skaters, cars and motorcycles, etc. As well as all of the flora and fauna. And of course, from spring until fall we can enjoy watching the rowing skulls and the dragon boats.
The purpose of this letter is in wonder of the one (not the only) fisherman who is out every day rain or shine at about 8 or 8:30 a.m. and is always there for at least a couple of hours.
Could be the whole day but as I don’t watch all day, who knows?
Now that’s someone who really enjoys fishing and the serenity of the surroundings. I have just always wondered what his or her story is?
