My wife and I were admitted into the maternity ward at Vernon Jubilee Hospital recently. It was our second time, as we’d been there three years previous when our daughter was born.
After our stay in the wonderfully equipped and large private suites, my wife and I felt the need to express how grateful and fortunate we were to have nurses and staff in the maternity ward that were so dedicated, caring and knowledgeable.
And although we often complain about our current state of provincial or local health care service and how it could be better, it was refreshing to see first hand, for a second time, the professionalism and level of care the staff on level four provided us during our stay. We thought it should be publicized as experiences such as ours aren’t heard often enough.
So if anyone is planning on heading up to the hospital any time soon to have a baby, you’re in good hands.
