Hall gets a makeover

You may have noticed some activity around the Willow Point Hall

You may have noticed some activity around the Willow Point Hall – we did some spring cleaning and have once again painted over the graffiti that was “decorating” the rear of the Hall.

Surfaces have all been power-washed and tidied up.  The 20-year old shingles on the steps have been removed, and thanks to the very generous people at RONA, we have installed new commercial grade stair treads.

Our Mother’s Day breakfast was an overwhelming success with almost 400 breakfasts served.  Many thanks to Discovery Foods, whose donation made the ingredients really affordable.

This year, we’ll be opening up the hall during the Shoreline Carving event at the end of June, and lots of events are planned to help us continue to support the community and to raise funds for a new roof.  We’ll actually be closing the Hall for about a week while we install a new wheelchair accessible washroom.

Thanks, everyone for your support!
