Headlines can be misleading

Re: Judge to Decide Fate of Aggressive Dog

I was disappointed to see this heading on the front page of your July 17th Capital News.  You are giving the impression that Shadow (the dog) is aggressive which, in my opinion, he is not and as far as I understand there has been absolutely no proof that this dog is aggressive.

This dog was in my garage immediately after the event and I was nose to nose with Shadow trying to read the telephone number on his collar. I also had to untangle his legs from the rope we tied him up with and there was absolutely no sign of aggression from this dog and his disposition was extremely friendly.

I think the Capital News should put a bit more thought into their front page headings which could lead readers to the totally incorrect idea as to what happened or, in this case, what the dog is like. I think it is the regional district that has been extremely aggressive in the way they have seized Shadow and kept him locked up for the last 15 months.
