Editor:
By bribes I mean the pre-election enticement of how wonderful the Liberals are with ad campaigns dissing the very things the Liberals are doing. Maybe some announcements of “special funding” for projects that should have been attended to years ago.
Perhaps a seniors administrator is needed because seniors usually vote and the subject of political promises when little or nothing is done. Photo ops become the norm in the local press. What have the Liberals really done for the province: huge debt, lowered taxes for rich corporations, selling off profitable BC assets, deception, secret contracts to use obscene amounts of water for fracking that will never be recovered, cover up on the tainted BC Rail sale … don’t forget the courses offered by the govt for businesses to bring in foreign workers.
We’ve seen and heard too much of this before and if you believe it, I know a lemming herd.
The opposition NDP, that is thinking they are in, has their ideas too, although they are afraid to comment much because you won’t like it. Higher taxes, more poisonous fracking, smart meters stay, flip-flop on banning “cosmetic” pesticides and herbicides, higher ICBC rates, more union favours and now corporate favours to pay off.
Words like “committed to” will be ringing often with nothing to back it up.
Truth in advertising is the world’s biggest oxymoron.
