I recently spent most of the month of December in Surrey while my mother was very ill and dying.
She had been in two other hospitals in the Lower Mainland and was fortunately transferred to Surrey Memorial and then Laurel Place Hospice.
I spent most of the time with her in these health care facilities. I cannot say enough about the high level of care she received in Surrey. Every effort was made to make her end of life care comfortable. The staff in both the hospital and the hospice were so compassionate, accessible and knowledgeable.
This is what health care should be like and I wanted your readers to know how fortunate they are.
