Hospital parking brings concern

Since the Penticton Regional Hospital now has the cheek to make people pay for parking, did all those who spent many hours volunteering their time for the millions of dollars needed for the CT scanner think for one second, why doesn’t the hospital charge for parking, then we volunteers do not have to bother.

I am sure the administration staff at the top could have saved money by giving themselves a massive pay cut.

Since the charges came into effect, the parking in the streets around the hospital has increased, causing danger to pedestrians, but I doubt the hospital has increased revenue. It’s a futile endeavor.

Do senior management pay for parking? How much revenue does parking generate, taking into account we live in a small town, and the hardship it creates for so many.

This is the Canada that foreigners would never think about, it’s all for the money. Nursing staff, after working many hours, dealing with the dying, now at night have to walk down streets near to the hospital to get their vehicles, whilst the parking lot at the hospital remains empty.

Since Penticton has had a rash of assaults on females, one would think the females would be our priority. The men in Penticton should come together and make sure the women in our community are safe.
