How about a safe passage?

I am proposing a safe passage through Saul Creek where it crosses Caroll St. A small excavator can make some switchbacks from the bottom up each side of the creek so that the WKE kids can safely cross this gulley without injury. The current trail is a challenge especially in the winter.

This will also provide access to the Saul Creek Trail users from the Carroll St. area. I believe this project should not cost the Village of Burns Lake much.

Perhaps other individuals or businesses could contribute to a fund for this.

I believe it will go a long ways to encouraging walking to school, reducing emissions and congestion at the school during pick-up and drop-off times. I am wondering if there is any interest out there and if so let’s contact the Village of Burns Lake office to get something going.
