Hugs: To the team at Ashberry Glass – their friendly and helpful service applying a temporary patch to the shattered sunroof on my right-hand drive vehicle was most gratefully appreciated, particularly in light of all the snow coming down. This Kimberley boy thanks you and he will see you again!
Hugs: It is our pleasure to send hugs to Meraki Mechanical of Cranbrook — owners Steve and Cara Campen. For many years we have faithfully dealt with a local dealership when our vehicles required servicing. However, during our last oil change and inspection, some issues surfaced and required attention. We were given an estimate that seemed outrageous. We then checked for other service centers that could do the work, perhaps for less. Indeed, Meraki Mechanical did the repairs quickly and very well, but the cost was less than half the price of the original estimate and was even $100 less than their estimate. Steve and Cara offer everything anyone could ask for in customer service. They are friendly, honest and above all, have integrity. Qualities sadly lacking in too many businesses these days.
Hugs: Hugs and thank you’s to Sonny and Chris Nomland for exceptional service and knowledge with Electrolux vacuums. You guys are always honest and reliable. So appreciated!
Hugs: To the electrical company, M&R, that advertised they will answer the phone and give service as well! You do what you say and you say what you will do. I hope your business continues to thrive over the poor service offered by many contractors. Integrity should be rewarded.
Slugs: To the contractors that don’t follow through on jobs but always want your money anyway. Where is the integrity in this town for so many contractors? … GONE! seems to be the general word. Remember, word travels and so will your reputations and your money too.
Hugs: A million hugs to Alpine Toyota for their outstanding friendly & personable service. Everyone I met went way above & beyond to ensure I was taken care of, especially Helen who was so knowledgeable & helpful.
Hugs: Big hugs to Cranbrook Townsman for bringing back door to door delivery of the East Kootenay Extra paper. I was pleasantly surprised to find it in my mail box. Thank you
Slugs: The slug prize goes to Andrew Scheer for his participation in a pro-pipeline protest that was visibly tainted with racist slogans. Such behavior is totally unacceptable in the 21st century, but I have come to expect nothing better from the Conservative leader!
Hugs: To the cashiers at Dollar Tree, who saved a little girl’s day by gifting her with a new balloon when her previous Paw Patrol balloon floated away from her. She was so distraught, it was hard to tell what she was saying, but we finally heard the word balloon and didn’t tie it tight enough. The salesperson immediately calmed her down and presented her with a new balloon. Way to go Dollar Tree … and I’m so sorry I didn’t catch your name to thank you properly. You made her day and mine as well…:)
Hugs: A big hug to Northstar Veterinary Clinic in Kimberley who recently sent me a beautiful sympathy card in the mail with my cat’s paw print inside on a piece of colored paper. What a beautiful memory from a thoughtful group of individuals.
