Re: Utility bills.
B.C. Hydro is ripping us off. Every month the bill shows cost of energy and what you have paid so far. I am on the equal payment plan and December I had a credit of $130, but January’s bill comes and I owe $100 over and above my credit.
And then their Step 1 and 2 energy saving is another way to rip us off.
Last January I owed $250 extra, and the year before was $500. I even upped my payment during the year so I wouldn’t be stuck with a huge bill in February.
Our governments are spending billions on home care support to keep us seniors in our homes, and then B.C. Hydro freezes us out.
Do I take this extra money out of my food budget, or just not buy my medications for the next few months?
I’ll just bet that the CEOs of hydro don’t have to worry about this problem. We all need to start waving a big flag at hydro and complain long and loud, because this money grab will just get worse.
