To the Editor,
Re: Impaired driver found passed out at preschool, Feb. 18.
If ever there was proof we need to strengthen, not weaken, our impaired driving laws, this incident proves it.
It is beyond me why this woman isn’t currently incarcerated in order to stop her from driving drunk.
The first incident did nothing to stop her from once again getting behind the wheel and endangering others.
Between now and the time she has promised to appear in court in May, she will, based on past behaviour, most likely continue to endanger herself and others with no apparent consequences as long as she has a driver’s licence and a car.
