Impressed with advice about active aging

People really pitched in for Active Aging Symposium

Editor, The News:

I recently attended the Active Aging  Symposiums at the Pitt Meadows and  Maple Ridge Seniors’ centres.  They were chalk full of information on health , recreation and financial retirement advice.

I would like to express my gratitude to all the people who worked to make these events happen. I was especially impressed by the way Maple Ridge Leisure Centre staff Tony Cotroneo  and Russ Brummer  worked alongside  the  staff and volunteers of the Westbrooke  Ridge Meadows Seniors Society to make this a special day for our seniors happen.

Many local businesses stepped up and graciously donated prizes. All of this was done in such a way to make one proud to be a member of this community.
