How shocking it is. How shocking for a local paper to publish a picture of an actual event, a protest against abortion, a picture that Sasha Byrnes does not want to see in her paper.

How shocking it is. How shocking for a local paper to publish a picture of an actual event, a protest against abortion, a picture that Sasha Byrnes does not want to see in her paper.

Indeed, how shocking it is that in this day and age there are still people who know that killing innocent babies is inhuman, and leads to more, not less, barbarity in a society.

In truth, how sad it is that more and more people, unaware of the past and unconcerned about the future, live, feel and think in the present, seeking only what pleases them personally.

Only those ignorant of history and even of the not-so-distant past are unable to foresee where such a mindset leads.

Man pretending to be God and determining who should live and who should die creates a human jungle where only the fittest and the chosen will survive.

There is no progress in fully accepting the hideous practice of scrapping human life while being shocked by the mere publishing of a picture of people objecting to it.

Genuine human progress is realized in a society when people respect the rights of all human beings and seek to protect the most vulnerable.

Many of us are no longer shocked, just saddened and sickened by what too many now believe to be progress.
