When it comes to coal, oil, or liquid natural gas, it is a supply-demand situation. We have the supply, and Asia has the demand – and are ready to pay many times more than our present price.
As for coal from the U.S. going through our ports, we would be at a loss if they sent it to their own ports. Reciprocity works both ways.
