This summer marks the 40th anniversary of the infamous sinkhole that formed underneath the original Nakusp Kal Tire building in August 1977 on 4th Avenue NW.
Seen here teetering on the edge of the hole, the building would soon be demolished with Kal Tire moving to its current location on 6th Avenue NW the following year.
